Entrepreneurship
Founders, freelancers, and small business owners trading real referrals, hard-won advice, and the occasional gut check.
Greenpoint · Williamsburg · Bushwick
Founders, freelancers, and creatives. The women building this neighbourhood are already here — this is where we find each other.
No stiff introductions. No stack of business cards nobody calls back.
The most interesting women out here building, finally in one room.
A network that actually shows up, one North Brooklyn block at a time.
The deal
NBWC started with a simple idea: the most interesting women in Greenpoint, Williamsburg, and Bushwick are already out here building — they just hadn't all met yet.
No stiff introductions. No stack of business cards nobody calls back. Just real conversations, real collaborations, and a community that actually shows up, one North Brooklyn block at a time.
What we're built on
Founders, freelancers, and small business owners trading real referrals, hard-won advice, and the occasional gut check.
Movement and nourishment led by the women actually practising it in this neighbourhood — not a stock photo.
The blocks, the bars, the best-kept secrets. Local life curated by the women who actually live it.
Why join
Every member, searchable by name, profession, business, and neighbourhood. You decide what yours shows — and you can take yourself off the list any time without leaving the Collective.
Suppers, studio classes, walk-and-talks, and the occasional workshop — hosted in members' own spaces across all three neighbourhoods.
Each week we put one member's story in front of the whole Collective — her business, her work, her North Brooklyn moment.
The reason most people stay. When a member needs a designer, a dietitian, or a contractor, she asks here first.
What's next
Bushwick — address shared on RSVP
Four members, ten minutes each, on a decision that cost them. No slides allowed. It's the most useful evening we run and the hardest one to get people to speak at.
McCarren Park — north entrance, Bedford Ave
An hour of walking in pairs that rotate every fifteen minutes. Easier than a room if you're new, and you'll leave having actually talked to four people rather than half-met twenty.
Every Monday
Each week we pin up one member's story — her business, her work, her North Brooklyn moment. It's community-first in practice, not just in the tagline.

In great company
Every NBWC event happens because these women open their doors and share what they know. They're full partners in this, not vendors.
Our home base for barre, strength, and the best post-class debriefs in Williamsburg. 97 N 10th St, Suite 2B.
Real nutrition guidance from a registered dietitian who actually gets North Brooklyn life.
