An hour of walking in pairs that rotate every fifteen minutes. Easier than a room if you're new, and you'll leave having actually talked to four people rather than half-met twenty.

Anything else, just ask. Nobody has ever been made to feel stupid for checking.
Not for everything. Events tagged Open to all are exactly that — come along, bring someone, no application needed. Members-only events need a login.
Members-only events are usually in someone's home or private studio, so the address goes out to confirmed guests rather than sitting on a public page. Open events always list the venue in full.
When a meal or a venue has to be paid for, we split it and tell you the number up front. NBWC takes nothing. If the cost is the reason you'd stay home, write to us — that's a solvable problem and it stays between us.
Cancel from your dashboard and the seat goes to the next person on the waitlist automatically. Doing that the same morning is fine. Not doing it at all, repeatedly, is the one thing that gets noticed.
Venues vary, and several member spaces are walk-ups we can't change. Each event page states the access situation plainly. If something you want to attend isn't workable, tell us — we've moved venues over this before and would again.
Usually, and we ask before we publish anything. If you'd rather not appear, say so on arrival — it's a normal request and nobody minds. Anything already published comes down on request, no reason needed.
